CONTEMPORARY PAINTING AND SCULPTURE BY ARTIST MILTON TEICHMAN
Milton Teichman paints stylized landscapes of Cape Cod as well as abstract and figurative paintings reflecting his search for unusual visual harmonies. He is also a sculptor making abstract and figurative table-size pieces in bronze, ceramic, and wood. In addition, he designs and executes large sculptures for outdoor spaces. He presents his work in his own gallery in Brewster from June-September and by appointment the rest of the year. A warm welcome awaits the visitor in his unique gallery space.

How long have you been in business?
Thirteen years, beginning in 1999.
What is your primary product or service?
My own contemporary-style paintings and sculptures. My sculptures are bronze, ceramic,and wood. I also design and arrange for the fabrication of outdoor sculptures.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I decided to show my work in my own glallery when I retired from my work as a college teacher. I taught literature and writing for 47 years, during which time I actively pursued my passion for making sculpture and for painting. I have studied for short intervals with outstanding painters and sculptors here in the United States and in Mexico. I have ben working consistently as an artist for 50 years.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
My gallery is different from most others on Cape Cod in that my work is more contemporary and experimental than what is shown in most galleries. I also show much more sculpture than can be found in most Cape Cod galleries. Because my clients are buying directly from me, the artist, and not from a gallery owner who shows the work of others, my prices are generally more atractive. Unlike most galleries, the Teichman Gallery offers regular cultural events in the arts during the summer season.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?

I am located on Route 6A in Brewster, just a bit east of the Ocean Edge Resort and Conference Center. I am located two miles east of the intersection of Route 6A and Route 124, and one half mile west of the Route 6A entrance to Nickerson State Park.
What type of payments do you accept?
Check or cash.
Which areas do you service?
Mid-Cape, mainly.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
I do, Milton Teichman, along with my wife, Sharon Leder.
What are your hours of operation?
Tuesday through Sunday, 12:30 to 5:30 p.m., and by appointment, from June --September.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
You are keeping the child alive in you.
What is your favorite quote or Bible verse?
"If I will be like him (her), who will be like me?"
