A 14-room museum of historical and contemporary arts, crafts and artifacts.
The museum contains an original six room 1850s house and eight exhibit galleries. One of the museum’s most noted collections features gowns, costumes, uniforms, clothing and accessories of the 18th - 20th century. Maritime collection of Centerville Sea Captain items including log books, ship models, marine artifacts, and paintings. Changing exhibits provide insights into historical context and explore themes and issues.

Our museum houses the largest collection of 17th - 20th century costumes, garments and accessories on Cape Cod.

From Route 6 take exit 6 (to Route 132). If you are coming from points west, take a right off of the exit onto Route 132. From points east, take a left onto Route 132. Drive approximately 1.5 miles to first traffic light, take a right onto Phinney’s Lane. Follow Phinney’s Lane all the way to intersection of Route 28, approximately 4 miles. At lights, go straight and cross Route 28, you will still be on Phinney’s Lane. Follow to next stop sign; on your right you will see Monument Park. Bear left, and drive approximately .7 miles. The museum is on your left. Free parking is on the opposite side of the road at the Parks and Recreation building (large Greek Revival building with white columns next to the playground).
